Tropical Freshwater Aquariums

Freshwater aquariums can be created as single species such as South American Cichlid or a Discus aquarium, other options are a community tank where fish from different species and continents live together in harmony, these can include Neon Tetras, Angels, Gouramis etc.

One of the advantages of freshwater aquariums is that they tend to be a little more forgiving with regards to their care, they also tend to require simpler lighting and filtration systems and so can be a less expensive option.
