Aquarium Experts are proud to be in the process of delivering an ambitious large-scale aquarium installation in Manchester – an exciting project that showcases both technical precision and creative vision.

The first phase of this bespoke installation has now been successfully completed, marking a major milestone in what will become a truly standout aquatic feature. At the heart of the project is a custom-built saltwater reef and fish aquarium measuring an impressive 4.5 metres in length. Designed to serve as both a striking visual centrepiece and a fully functioning marine ecosystem, the aquarium reflects the very best of modern aquarium design.

Unlike standard installations that are built off-site and transported to their location, this aquarium was built on-site. Due to the size and weight of this aquarium it could not be brought on site in one piece and therefore the glass panels, frame and sump were brought in separately and then constructed in-situ. The frame was placed in position on spreader plates, the sump was placed in position and then the double base of the aquarium was placed inside the bottom steel collar, and each of the panels were placed in position and the steel top collar was then fitted on top and the whole aquarium was then siliconed and braced and left for 2 weeks to cure.
