Over the past decade, we have been privileged to maintain a cherished aquarium for one of our valued clients. Recently, due to the age and condition of the existing setup, it was time for a significant upgrade – and we were thrilled to lead the project from start to finish.
While we hadn’t fitted the original aquarium, we have diligently maintained it for the last ten years. Over time, the filtration system had become outdated and inefficient, and the soft hose piping was prone to issues, compromising water quality and the health of the aquatic inhabitants. Recognizing these challenges, our client approved a comprehensive upgrade that would ensure a healthier, more vibrant environment for years to come.
After submitting a detailed quotation and receiving approval, we scheduled the project for a dedicated weekend in July. Our team meticulously prepared for the upgrade, ensuring minimal disruption to the aquatic life. We carefully removed the fish, sand, and equipment, draining the aquarium of water and disconnecting the existing pipework.
With everything prepared, we carefully removed the old aquarium and sump, making way for a state-of-the-art replacement. The new setup features a high-quality aquarium with opti-white front and back panels for enhanced clarity and aesthetic appeal. It’s fitted with an external weir for efficient water circulation and filtration.
Once the hardware was in place, we carefully aquascaped the tank with pristine white coral sand, creating a natural and inviting environment. To bring the aquarium to life, a carefully selected assortment of Lake Malawi cichlids and parrotfish was introduced, adding vibrant color and lively activity.
The completed project not only improves water quality and system reliability but also provides a stunning visual centerpiece for our client’s space. The new aquarium is now a thriving, vibrant ecosystem that will delight viewers and support healthy aquatic life for years to come.
